More of our little Monkey

Look at that face! Isn't it just adorable.

How can you get mad at him when he climbs all over the TV? You don't, at least not at first. First you take pictures so you can remember it and show your husband what your child has been up to during the day. Then you finally tell him NO!

The dental school put on an Appreciation Dinner, and while we were there with friends, all of us girls had a caricature drawing done of us. Personally I don't think it is a very good one of me.
From left to right starting at top:
Me, Maria, Holly and Liz. (We missed you Melanie).

Me at 36 weeks. Really starting to feel big and uncomfortable. (This shirt is really starting to get tight). Hope these next few weeks go by faster. :)

Mr. Potato Head

Getting stuck in between the table and chair.

He has started actually playing with his Mr. Potato Head we got last garage sale season. Here is a picture of the first one he put together himself. (He really likes the arms)!

Oh What Fun!

So we purchased this changing table at a garage sale, and had it in our room to keep Dakota away from it. I had temporarily moved it in his room so I could get some vacuuming done and after I was done I find him doing this......

When he got to the top, he was having a blast turning on and off the light! He has really turned into quite the climber.

32 weeks and the ER

So here I am @ 33 weeks. Getting close and of course not ready yet. Still need to do more garage saleing.
Dakota gave us a scare a week ago. He had a fever all day and later that day had a seizure because of a spike in his fever. He just happened to stop breathing after it was over, because he was eating. Luckily his Daddy got him breathing again while I was on the phone calling 911. They say it is common in children. (Which wasn't very comforting to hear during the ordeal). Here he is not looking to happy. He is wearing a baby sized gown. Cute, but don't want him wearing another one.
Dakota and I rode to the ER in the ambulance and Daddy followed. We stayed there until his fever went down. They found an ear infection and he is doing well now that he is on some antibiotics. He even happened to take a few naps in between the nurses checking up on him. He was so exhausted!
He never falls asleep in your arms, no matter how tired he is.
Snuggling up with Daddy.
So glad that he is ok and doing well. He seems to have no side effects from the seizure. So grateful to have my little boy still with us!

Easter Morning

Good Morning!

He absolutely loves the big truck he recieved.

Happy Easter! It was fun to have him old enough to at least show an interest in it.

Easter Fun!

Our apartment complex had the easter bunny visit. The picture doesn't show it but he wanted nothing to do with the easter bunny. He wanted to stay as far away from it as he could. Although he didn't cry or anything. He of course did like the chocolate candy!
Here we are at an easter egg hunt that was just across the street from us. See the look Dakota is giving the bunny. If looks could kill, that bunny would have been dead!
Walking hand in hand with daddy to go fnd the eggs. How cute!
He had to make sure he was picking a good egg. They limited the eggs to five until everyone got some, then they let the kids lose to find the rest. It was crazy, kids were running into each other left and right. I'm sure that will be Dakota next year.

Showing off his stash! I sure he had fun.

Hooray!

I got my braces off! Don't look to closely at me, no makeup yet. Just look at my teeth.

Searching for Buried Treasure

Dakota just does the funniest things sometimes. This day he decided to climb into the toy box and then proceded to try to grab the toys he was sitting on. It kept him preoccupied for a while!

Here he is with one of the buried treasures he happened to find. Give it a hug!

He likes to pull faces like this when he know you are gonna take a picture. Beautiful!

Here is another one of his beautiful faces! Doesn't look too excited to be riding in the toy car. He must know it isn't real!

We went out to eat with friends for the end of quarter and the kids got this plastic cowboy hat. Dakota had fun with it for a while. I tried to teach him how to say Yeehaw! He still can't say it. But he can say: no no, dog, car, duck, fish, meow, mom, dad, all done, more, moo, and truck. He can also sign please and does it all the time.
